NASCAR Final Practice Cancelled_ Once again, NASCAR is up against the weather, which wants to make her impact known right away, as it starts its first points-paying race weekend of the season.

Just two weeks ago, at the LA Memorial Coliseum because of bad weather that was coming. This was a warning that nature can control events even in sunny California.

Rain got in the way of plans for Saturday at Daytona International Speedway, the famous track where “The Great American Race” takes place. The 2.5-mile superspeedway could not hold the 50-minute practice run that was supposed to happen at 10:30 AM ET because of heavy rain. Things couldn’t begin on time because the track was too wet. NASCAR had to call off the session because there were too many other things going on that day.

The race drivers for the Daytona 500 were lucky enough to get to use the track during practice on Friday. Denny Hamlin won the race, which was the last one on the track before Sunday’s big event, as long as the weather held out.

Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQ”)

Q: What happens if Daytona 500 gets rained out?

Ans: In case of an official postponement of the Daytona 500, ticket holders will have the opportunity to utilize their tickets at any sanctioned NASCAR event. Notable drivers like Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, Bubba Wallace, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Joey Logano are all anticipated to partake in the race. However, the Daytona 500 remains one of the most unpredictable events in stock car racing.

Q: Is Daytona 500 postponed 2024?

Ans: As of now, the 2024 Daytona 500 has not been rescheduled or postponed. The race is still set to commence at 1:30 p.m. CT on Sunday and will be broadcasted by Fox.

Q: Will Daytona 500 run in the rain?

Ans: No, NASCAR does not race in the rain or damp conditions at Daytona. The tires used in NASCAR do not have tread, which would wear too quickly and generate excessive heat on the 2.5-mile track. If any amount of rain occurs at Daytona, NASCAR will put the race under caution.
