Delving into Chris Hacker’s NASCAR journey unveils a blend of on-track aspirations and off-track challenges. The 24-year-old balances his time as a part-time driver for On Point Motorsports and Young’s Motorsports in the NASCAR Truck Series, alongside sporadic appearances in the Xfinity Series.
Remarkably, Hacker navigates his racing career while contending with Brachial Plexus injury, a condition affecting his left arm’s movement, making him the first NASCAR driver with such a challenge.
However, Hacker’s journey isn’t devoid of off-track hurdles. In June 2017, he faced legal issues, including a DWI charge in Hamilton County, Indiana, accompanied by four misdemeanors. Despite a plea bargain, Hacker encountered probation violations, leading to a year-long probation term and subsequent 180-day house arrest.

Last August, another setback occurred when Hacker faced DWI charges in Huntersville, North Carolina, compounded by allegations of speeding and reckless driving. Following a two-month ban, NASCAR reinstated him post-completion of the Road to Recovery program.
On the racetrack, Hacker has tallied four Xfinity Series starts and 15 Truck Series starts, with modest results including a best finish of 14th and 12th in the respective series. As he navigates the highs and lows of his NASCAR career, Hacker remains a resilient figure, striving to overcome obstacles both on and off the track.
